Self polinating/sterile

Arugula plant is self pollinating/self sterile, meaning you can be certain that the flowers will pollinate and start producing pods shortly after, with each pod containing numerous seeds. You can continue harvesting arugula leaves, even while the stem is flowering and pods developing.

Hurvesting Arugula seeds

To harvest the seeds continue to water the plant in order for the pods to fully mature, then wait until the plant completely dries out. Once dry you can open a pod easily by simply pinching a pod and stroking it between your fingers to make the seeds fall off.

Storing Arugula seeds

There are many containers for storing seeds, we store them in paper made envelopes that we make ourselves, these envelopes open and close easily and contain the seeds well.
